Terms and Conditions for Nomadtable Inc.
Last Updated: March 19th, 2025Welcome to Nomadtable. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our app and services. By using Nomadtable, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.1. Introduction
Nomadtable Inc. is a company registered in the United States that provides a platform for solo travelers to connect, create activities, and join group experiences in real-time. Nomadtable offers both free and premium services, including AI-generated activity suggestions, future trip planning, and the ability to connect with other travelers.By using Nomadtable, you acknowledge that we are not responsible for interactions between users and that you are responsible for your own safety.2. Creating and Joining Activities
a. Activity Creation
Users can create public or private activities, including casual meetups, dining experiences, and city explorations.
Private activities require host approval before users can join.
b. Joining Activities
Users can browse and join activities created by others.
Free users can access limited AI-generated activity suggestions, while premium users (Nomadtable Plus) have unlimited access.
c. Cancellations
Activity creators may cancel an event at any time before the start time.
Participants may withdraw from an activity before the scheduled start time.
d. Future Trip Planning
Users can input a destination and travel dates to join group chats with others traveling to the same city during overlapping dates.
Premium users (Nomadtable Plus) can create unlimited future trips, join multiple group chats, and view more than the first 10 overlapping travelers in a given city.
If a user creates a trip, their destination and travel dates may be visible to others with overlapping travel plans. Exact locations (e.g., accommodations) will never be shared.
Nomadtable does not guarantee the attendance or behavior of users in any activities or future trip group chats.
3. Participation and Responsibility
a. User Responsibility
Nomadtable is a platform to facilitate connections but does not verify, control, or guarantee the behavior of users.
Users are responsible for their own safety when meeting others.
b. Activity Details
Users must provide accurate and truthful information when creating activities.
Nomadtable does not verify activity details and is not responsible for misinformation.
c. Financial Arrangements
Nomadtable does not facilitate payments or financial arrangements.
Users are responsible for their own expenses (e.g., restaurant bills, transportation costs).
d. Attendance and No-Shows
Nomadtable is not responsible for ensuring that users attend activities they signed up for.
4. Premium Subscription & Payment Terms
Nomadtable offers weekly, monthly, and annual subscription plans for premium features, including:Full Access to Nearby Travelers – See the full list of nearby travelers.
Profile Priority – Appear near the top of the nearby travelers list.
Unlimited AI Suggestions – Get unlimited AI-generated activity ideas.
Profile View Notifications – See when someone nearby has viewed your profile (premium feature).
Expanded Traveler Visibility – Free users can see only the first 10 overlapping travelers in trip planning and the first 10 city chat members. Premium users see the full list.
a. Payment Processing
Payments are processed through third-party providers (e.g., Apple, Google).
Nomadtable does not store payment details.
b. Auto-Renewal & Cancellation
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the next billing cycle.
Refunds are subject to the policies of the payment provider.
5. Community Guidelines
By using Nomadtable, you agree to follow our Community Guidelines (linked in-app), which prohibit:Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
Posting misleading or inappropriate activity details.
Soliciting services or engaging in promotional activities unrelated to Nomadtable.
Impersonation or fraudulent activity.
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal.6. Blocking & Privacy Features
a. Blocking Users
Users can block others in the app to prevent direct communication or visibility of their profiles.
Messages from blocked users may still appear in shared group chats.
b. Privacy Controls
Users can hide their approximate distance from others in the "Travelers Here" list by adjusting their settings in the app.
Users can close their direct messages to only friends via app settings.
Users can create private activities where only approved participants can join.
7. AI-Generated Suggestions & Disclaimers
a. AI-Generated Activity & Trip Suggestions
Nomadtable uses AI-based recommendations to suggest activities, venues, and future trips based on user location and interests.
AI-generated suggestions are not always accurate or feasible. Users should verify details independently before making decisions.
b. Meeting Risks
By using Nomadtable, you acknowledge that meeting others carries risks.
Nomadtable is not liable for injuries, damages, or disputes arising from in-person meetups or activities.
c. Service Availability
Nomadtable aims to provide continuous service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services at any time.
8. Account Verification & Security
Users may verify their identity through facial comparison and manual verification.
Verification does not guarantee authenticity, and sophisticated actors may still bypass verification measures.
Nomadtable reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts suspected of fraud or misconduct.9. Data Protection & Privacy
Our data collection and processing practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy (linked in-app).If you have questions about how your data is processed or wish to exercise your rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws, please contact us at [email protected].10. Changes to TermsNomadtable Inc. reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.When we make material changes, we will notify users through the app, by email, or other means required by law.We encourage users to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of Nomadtable after an update indicates awareness of the changes, but where legally required, we may seek explicit acceptance for significant changes.11. Age Restrictions
Nomadtable is intended for individuals 18 years or older.
Users under 18 are not permitted to use the app.
